Night at the Fair

Anyone who knows anything about Blackfoot knows that when the Eastern Idaho State Fair hits Blackfoot, it is a BIG deal...This year we opted out of the wrist bands for the kids to ride the rides and decided to keep some of our money, by making fair food at home I'm sure we saved some money but definitely not calories!! Instead of eating one Tiger Ear we had an unlimited supply and scones and honey butter, Funnel Cakes, Kettle Corn, Navajo Tacos it definitely was not our pocketbook that we were concerned about....Watch out for the Waistline.... I know that I ate myself sick on more than one occasion. Lindsey, who worked every morning of the fair to pick up trash earned some free ride tickets that she was kind enough to give them to Daylan and Braxton to use (they owe her huge!!!) So we took the kids over one night of the fair checked out the booths and even saw the hypnotist show!! (Brandi's request) Here are the boys as they hold on for dear life as they try out the Scrambler!!!Braxton was dying to go on this ride...The Spaceship 3000. However in this picture it looks like he is terrified, He loved the ride and ended up going on it twice :)
Check out the entrance to the Spaceship 3000...Looks pretty amazing lol!!!!!

Back to School

Sending kids back to school, brings so many mixed emotions for me...Excitment that the kids won't be fighting every day with one another, happiness that I won't continue to feel the tremendous amounts of guilt each day when I have to work, and yet extreme sadness that my babies are growing up so quickly, I start to tear up just thinking about it and they've already been in school for about two weeks....:( Aren't these about the cutest kids ever, so excited to meet their new teachers and classmates!!!! This photo will join the other 11 back to school morning on the porch pic's:)
Just look at these fantastic girls I can't believe that Lindsey is a junior, I am going to need serious med's before her senior year even begins. I have extreme anxiety just thinking about it, and Brandi is already in eighth grade. She is really enjoying this school year much more than last year, so we'll keep our fingers crossed!!!

Here are the boys, Daylan's last year of grade school and Braxton is in the second grade. Approximately the second day of school Daylan had to fill out a paper about what he would do if he was principal for a day. When asked the question what would be the worst part of his job He said "it would be talking to people" Of course this is no suprise to those of us who know Daylan, it just made me smile...Then there is Braxton who is just so excited everyday to play with all of the friends that he has at school....Gotta love their different personalities!!!

Adventures with Grandpa Woolf

My dad got some Salt Lake Bees tickets for his birthday courtesy of his wonderful daughters....living the closest of all the sisters to my dad, he generously invited our family to go to one of the games with him and Judy.... My dad has been excited about the new transportation system that the Utah area is implementing and has been anxious to try it out, so we were also lucky enough to have our first experience on the Utah's Frontrunner commuter train into Salt Lake. Currently it travels from Ogden to Salt Lake, but will eventually travel from Pleasant View to Provo. So we met up with Grandpa & Grandma Woolf in Ogden and off we went.....
Here are the Brandi and Braxton on the Front Runner, it looks like they even like each other..Amazing

Here are Lindsey and Daylan.... Doesn't Daylan look excited!!! He usually is even if he can't show it!:)

Aren't these girls funny, Grandpa bought these fun foam fingers for Lindsey and Brandi!!!!

Look at our fearless leader, that would be Brandon, I had to include at least one photo of my wonderful husband, who put up with us all and was the photographer....let the record show he really was there!!!

Check out my Dad, he really was excited for this
game....The tickets we gave my dad were for the best available seats when he presented them, when we arrived on a Friday night guess where those "Best Available" seats were.... you guessed it...In the Grass.....He was not thrilled about it as you can tell but we had a great time at the game and check out our happy faces as we wait for the Train back to Ogden.... the stadium in the background....It was a great Adventure Thanks again Dad and Judy!!!

Lindsey and Rachael's night out

Check this out, Lindsey and Rachael were bored one night and got all glammed out, they come upstairs, it must have been about 11:00 or 11:30 because everyone else was in bed....They casually say to me while laughing uncontrollably we're going to go on a walk....Luckily I was still awake enough to come and see what was up....then a few days later look at the new photos on our computer.....the Glam photos....I loved it ....my absolute favorite is the last photo.

Check out these fabulous Girls....Taking photos of themselves!!!!

Fun at Girls Camp

Yes, it's been a while, I just don't know where the time seems to go. Our ward went to Girls Camp the first week of August (Wow, that's been a month ago!!!) We had a ward camp this year and the girls had such a great time... We rented a cabin in Island Park, just FYI it is the only way to go.... After our five mile hike we got some rafts and floated back down to Macks Inn where we saw a couple of Moose....One of the highlights, was the girls reaction to the boys that were in the play we went to our final night, I don't think I've laughed that hard in a long time, Brandi actually asked one of the boys for his e-mail address it was hysterical, some of the girls have even tracked them down on face book...
Here we are on our 5 Mile Hike.... The girls were sure troopers even if they wondered if their leaders knew where they were going...lolThe ride back to Macks inn after our big hike...

Check out the the great Mike Birch, getting the girls back on track...
The Moose we saw, we floated right by him, check out how brave these observers are to get soooo close, these are huge animals ...
We sure enjoyed the Priesthood Brethren when they came up, check out all the girls listening to a story that Tim Woods was very animated about...It was fun to see the girls gather round...
This isn't the greatest photo, but check out how cool we are in our pink shirts that say "We Rock Steadfast and Immoveable" Yes the t-shirt guys spelled Immovable wrong and even when I brought it to their attention after our event...they assured me that it was an alternate spelling?!?!? I guess if it doesn't come up wrong on Spell Check, it is right...Although check it out when I use spell check on my blog it comes up as a misspelled word....hmmm weird...

I love this photo, it was on our way back down the mountain!!!

The Girls working hard on the Fabulous craft project we had for them...

Some of our finished products, Great job Maren and Jesse!!!

The Laurels are tooo cool!!! Always keeping things fun and exciting!!

Debate Times

Lindsey had the opportunity to go to a Debate camp this summer, yes there is such a thing lol. It was two weeks long and they worked the kids hard, lectures, research and studying for approximately 10 days and then a tournament to top it off. Lindsey worked really hard and made many interesting new friends, one girl told her she was the sweetest white girl she ever knew. She ended up doing quite well in the tournament even though there were many set backs along the way... Can you tell she had to work hard...the ripped jeans and all, it was brutal:)

Birds in Flight to Island Park

When J.B. and Jolene invited us to come up to Island Park while they were there, how could we possibly say no... We loaded up the fam (minus Lindsey who was at Debate camp in Walla Walla) and headed up into the hills... Who knew what fun and exciting times awaited us. There was

Golfing...

The Golfers Extraordinaire!!!

Then there was feeding the fish at Big Springs, check out the size of the fish we were trying to feed until Mr. Muskrat came along.... Some of you may think that Mr. Muskrat looks so cute (start singing a little Muskrat Love) but if you have ever seen one out of the water you may think twice, since they look like a HUMONGOUS RAT !!!!! Have you ever seen their long thick rat like tails.......VERY ALARMING TO SAY THE LEAST...

No Muskrat Love ALLOWED!!!!!

Here we all are, safe after our escapade with giant fish and muskrats!!!

Of course there was Swimming and Tennis.....

And even after all of that we went on a nice relaxing 3 hour raft trip...It was Beautiful up there everything was green, we had a great time, thanks so much Grandma & Grandpa!!!

Aren't they soo cute!!!I absolutely love this photo, it reminds me of when Braxton used to call himself the Cheeto Hooker, a story for another Day.....lolDaylan thought he could actually force his dad alias Brandon into the water, the war was on!!!

All the boys ended up in the water, which is appropriate if you think about it!!

Golf Anyone???

Anyone who knows Brandon, is aware that he has a bit of an obsession with golf, watching golf, playing golf,..... This year has been a bit tough on the old ego as far as the golf game goes, so he has spent a considerable amount of time practicing his swing at the driving range. One Monday night we decided to make a family outing of it... Here is the evidence, of the love we have for good ole' dad :)

Soccer Times

Check me out I've got the Moves...K, this is the tricky part keeping you feet on the ground!!
What Form....

The year of sports has ended and although part of me was glad to see it end (the soccer coach side hahaha lol!!!) the mom side of me will sort of miss the excitment a seven year old has for the game and more importantly the treats here are some of the fun moments...

Daylan's 10th Birthday

I can't believe that Daylan turns ten this year, it just seems so unbelievable that these kids are growing up so fast....Remarkably though, their mother has found a way to somewhat fool people into thinking that she is younger than she really is....The SECRET, only be seen in public with children ten years or younger. HAHAHA, I really do love my older girls they just make me seem so old....

Finally a genuine smile, no cheese factor here

You've got to have the silly pose!!
What a shot Scott, these kids are dumbfounded!!!
What could it be???
